THE NORMAL AMERICAN DIET contains precious little of the elements of the body needs, and that's why most people are tired, why they are often painfully ill. Your health demands that you supply your body with plenty of complete protein (statistics point to the fact that 90% of people do not get enough protein to build and renew their bodies). A good diet should include 30% of protein for growth, maintenance and repair, for growth is impossible without ample complete protein, which contains all the 22 amino acids, with particular emphasis on large amounts of the essential ten. You need ample supplies of carbohydrates (natural sugars and starch) for energy. You also. need a full quota of minerals and vitamins.
